About the Event
CHEMSPIRE was an interdepartmental open-day event organized by postgraduate (PG) students for undergraduate (UG) and pre-university (PU) students. It was conducted on August 31, 2024, at the M.Sc. Chemistry Lab, Surana College (Southend Campus). The event was a significant milestone in student-led academic outreach.
Event Goals:
Inspire young minds to pursue science.
Foster a deep-seated love for chemistry.
Promote collaboration among different academic departments.
The open-day provided a platform for participants to witness advanced laboratory techniques and engage with postgraduate mentors. This interaction bridged the gap between different tiers of education, allowing younger students to envision their future academic trajectories in the field of chemical sciences.
Impact: Over 200 enthusiastic participants from various educational backgrounds attended the event.
