Surana College is an autonomous institution. The Post Graduate Department of Psychology at Surana College, was established in the year 2003. Having secured over 20 ranks at University level, Surana College is one of the best colleges in Bangalore offering Master’s Program in Psychology. It is ranked one of the top ten colleges to pursue masters in psychology. The Post Graduate course in The Master of Science in Psychology (M.Sc. Psychology) is a two year full time program. That provides the students with the theoretical, research and applied perspectives of psychology. The course is a blend of theoretical, laboratory and field knowledge. The course aims at enabling the students to work in different fields of psychology. The Post Graduate program enables the student with the skill set needed to analyse and understand the changing face of psychology and its applied fields and channelize their knowledge in a systematic and holistic manner to understanding human behaviour. Keeping this in view the Department has started the Surana Well-Being Centre in 2022. The Centre aims to cater to the psychological well being of an individual, by providing psychotherapy and counselling services. The M.Sc. Psychology Degree from Surana College is recognised by all institutions across the nation for MPhil and PhD programs

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates with 50% marks in the aggregate of all the optional subjects (45% marks for SC/ ST candidates from Karnataka), Psychology as one of the subjects and 55% of marks in the cognate subject at the UG level.
