About M.Com

 

The M.Com programme at Surana College was established in 2014 and the institution attained autonomous status in 2021. The programme currently has an intake of 40 students and is offered as a two-year full-time postgraduate course affiliated with Bangalore University.

Academic Specializations

The curriculum follows the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS), offering both core and specialization courses to provide academic flexibility and depth of learning. The college is re-accredited with an A+ grade by the NAAC and is also certified by the ISO. The M.Com programme provides advanced knowledge in core commerce disciplines while nurturing creativity, analytical ability, problem-solving, and critical thinking through innovative teaching methods and experiential learning. Students gain practical exposure through industrial visits, field visits, internships, and project-based learning.

Career readiness is strengthened through corporate training sessions, academic enrichment activities, and professional skill-building workshops. Preparing students for academic, corporate, and entrepreneurial careers with a strong ethical and professional foundation.

Dr. B.G. Lakshmi is an accomplished Associate Professor and Ms.Sahanashree N is an Assistant Professor at Surana College. Faculties excels in teaching and their achievements include 20+ publications, patents, copyrights, conference chairing, and Board memberships in education
