About MBA Department
The MBA program at Surana College was established in the year 1999 and attained Autonomous status in 2021. Currently, the program has a sanctioned intake of 240 students. This is a Two Years Full time Program affiliated to Bangalore University, recognised by AICTE, New Delhi and Government of Karnataka. The Program presently follows the choice-based credit system and offering core as well as dual specialisation as autonomous program under Bangalore University with the approvals of UGC, New Delhi. The Department is Re-accredited by NAAC, New Delhi with A+ grade. It is also ISO certified. Institution is one of the student preferred top 50 Institution in Indian context.
Our faculty members bring a rich blend of experience from industry, academia, and research, ensuring a comprehensive learning environment. They have actively contributed to research by submitting proposals to esteemed organizations such as ICSSR and AICTE-ATAL and have published articles in renowned National and International journals with high impact factors.

HR domain offers Value Added Program on Industrial Relations and Labour Code in association with Telent Avenue.
VALUE ADDED PROGRAMME
The program offers a series of value-added courses across four semesters. In Semester I, students are introduced to "Finishing School-I" and "Economic Analysis." In Semester II, the focus shifts to "Finishing School-II-External" and "Advanced Excel-External," providing practical tools for data analysis. Semester III includes "Finishing School-III-Domain Specific and Corporate Mentoring," as well as specialized courses like "Business Analytics through Excel-External," "Data Visualisation through TABLEAU-External," and "Financial Analysis." In Semester IV, students engage in "Finishing School-IV-External" and are exposed to unique industry-specific courses such as "Fintech in association with Oracle and Canara Bank," "Industrial Relations and Labour Code in association with Talent Avenue," and "Pharma Marketing in association with Micro Labs Ltd." This progression ensures that students gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in diverse domains.
Co CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
The department organizes a range of flagship programs, including the CXO Series, Alumni Series, and Entrepreneurship Series. It also offers four Finishing School initiatives spread across all four semesters, along with the Industrial Conclave, Inter-Collegiate Management Meet, and the G.C. Surana Talent Hunt. Additionally, there are Skill Enhancement Programs, Value Added Programs across various domains, Corporate Mentoring, and IBM Integrated Business Certification Courses. To further enrich the learning experience, the department regularly conducts field visits and industrial visits.
