Overview
Surana College houses two vibrant learning resource centers located at the South-End Campus (2,625 sq. ft.) and the Kengeri Campus (1,852 sq. ft.), managed by two qualified librarians. Both libraries function as dynamic knowledge hubs, offering an Open Access System for seamless accessibility. Partial automation is enabled through EasyLib Web OPAC 6.2, implemented in 2004. Classification and cataloguing follow the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) system for systematic organization.
The South-End Campus Library supports up to 80 users at a time and maintains a rich collection of 26,430 books, 12 print journals, 18 magazines, and 8 newspapers. The Kengeri Campus Library accommodates 120 users, offering 18,124 books, 44 journals, 25 magazines, and 15 newspapers.
Both libraries also provide extensive e-resources—including e-books, e-journals, and databases—through platforms such as NLIST/INFLIBNET, DELNET, J-Gate, and more, significantly enhancing the digital learning experience.
