The Department of Commerce, Surana College (Autonomous), affiliated to Bangalore University, organized an Industry–Academia Seminar on “Decoding the Union Budget 2026–2027” on 10 February 2026. The sessions were delivered by CA Deepak Kumar Jain of Accolet Advisors Pvt. Ltd. and CA Dishaa Mehta of Ernst & Young (EY). The seminar provided insights into the Economic Survey, GST amendments, and recent direct tax reforms. A total of 146 students participated, gaining practical understanding of fiscal policy, compliance, and tax planning. The program successfully bridged academic concepts with real-world taxation practices.
